All Sacred

The All Sacred Tattoo Studio + Foundation is a Colorado-based tattoo studio and non-profit organization in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. All Sacred was founded in 2016 by Aries Rhysing, one of the world’s foremost black ink tattoo artists. Aries took more than 20 years of tattooing passion and set out to build something greater than himself. Not just for his brand or business, but for his community, for his neighbors, for his family and everyone around him. As a longstanding client of BTD, All Sacred reached out in 2023 for a multisite theme redesign/development in conjunction with an annual nonprofit fundraising event.

Priority #1: Create a heavily branded digital space where followers, fans and affiliates of their charitable organizations can come to come learn about All Sacred's artists, view artist portfolios and book directly with artists.

Priority #2: Brand, promote and organize a charitable, nonprofit event which we coined "Arise - A Community Call To Action Event + Fundraiser." We helped initially brand and promote "Arise" in 2022 and the results were astounding. Our goal was to meet that again in 2023.

What we did

Prior to 2023, All Sacred was well known for their roster of blackwork artists. To change with the times and the public’s general tattoo demands, their artist lineup also was enhanced. With this in mind, BTD’s second iteration of the All Sacred website aimed to first embody their classic ornamental, decorative and sacred geometry aesthetic as well as the gritty, yet high fashion vibe previously established in the previous website release, but also to showcase color and breadth of their artists styles.

We chose the typeface, “Mundial” to nod to the established geometric body art All Sacred is classically known for. This typeface works really well as a primary headline font weight in bold, while Mundial Regular read very nicely for body copy. On the studio side of the multisite, we carefully devised a mostly monochromatic color palette to mimic both the cleanliness and detail of their art. For the foundation site, we chose an actionable yellow to act as a spot color, while reversing the tonality of the otherwise dark and monochromatic studio site. As both of these sites share quite a bit of content with each other, we wanted an extreme ease of backend utilization by the client, which we built using Advanced Custom Fields.

To supplement the website launch, we also updated the campaign’s brand aesthetic of 2022’s incredibly successful “Arise” campaign, which All Sacred threw to benefit the Colorado Doula Foundation. For the 2023 campaign, All Sacred chose Urban Peak as their beneficiary, so we created video content, posters, digital collateral and ran social media ads to enhance this effort.

Results

Together, we worked to create an elevated brand identity for the All Sacred Studio that has enhanced and more accurately reflects the brand. This aesthetic was naturally translatable to the Foundation side of the business and visually represents the efforts quite well. We developed new branded assets such as logo treatments, textures, patterns, color palettes and an intuitive, modern, compelling website multisite experience.

For the supplemental nonprofit campaign, the 1 day event raised more than $40,000 for Urban Peak. With less than a $2,000 budget and less than a month to run ads on Instagram and Facebook, we reached over 200,000 unique people, had over 290,000 impressions and over 1,400 clicks resulting in website visits to the event page.

Overall, the website launch plus the campaign was an immense success.
